Time and Talent Sign Up for Worship Assistant

Thank you for taking this opportunity to sign up to assist during worship.  Serving God's people is wonderfully fulfilling. No task is too small and there is no age limit.  The more people we involve the better.  We will gladly train you and schedule you into our calendar. 1. Reading the Lesson (lector):  reads first and second lessons and psalm

2. Carrying the Processional Cross (crucifer): Brings the cross into the worship space and brings it out at the end of worship

3. Assisting with Communion: distributes wine with the assisting minister

4. Assisting Minister: reads prayers, leads the congregation reading of the creed, sets the table with the bread and wine, reads the dismissal

5. Communion Preparers and Altar: prepares altar for communion, provides trays during distribution and cleans up afterwards

6. Banner Bearer: Carries banners on festival Sundays

7. Acolyte: lights and extinguishes candles,

8. Server: Holds books for pastor during communion and baptism and/or, receives offering and takes it to the sacristy. 

9. Presenters of Bread and Wine: Brings forward the bread and wine during offering (this is future need)

10. Ushers:  Distributes and collects bulletins, collects and presents offering, and ushers forward for communion, collects used bulletins after the service, turns off lights and sound system and secures building after the 11:00 service.
